Be Part of a Community
A Community is a living-learning environment where students with similar interests, scholarships, or majors live on a dedicated floor in a residence hall. Students participate in programs that support their academic, social, and personal needs. Communities help to form strong friendships, build campus connections, and promote academic success. All students are encouraged to apply.
Select a community below to learn how to apply and any applicable requirements. Once your housing contract is signed through MyBLUE, room assignment confirmations of your selected Community will be sent via email beginning in May and will continue as space allows in the respective communities.

Thompson Scholars
Thompson Scholars
Students awarded the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation Scholarship live together, enroll in common classes, attend shared programs, and develop skills for a successful transition to college. All scholarship recipients are required to live in this learning community for the first year.

KHOP
Kearney Health Opportunities Program
KHOP Students in the Kearney Health Opportunities Program (KHOP) have an interest in rural health care and will have common classes, mentors, academic success coaching, and opportunities to explore medical professions and health care issues. Freshmen in KHOP (and alternates) are required to live in this Community.

Business and Technology
College of Business and Technology Community
The College of Business and Technology Community is focused on providing community, mentoring and increased academic success through shared coursework with this unique living experience at 体育菠菜大平台. Eligible students will be reviewed for limited housing scholarships that are associated with placement in this community through the General Incoming Freshmen Scholarship application on MyBLUE.
- How to Apply – Must be admitted to 体育菠菜大平台 and complete the General Incoming Freshmen Scholarship Application by March 1.
- CBT Scholarship housing location CTW. Non-scholarship housing location varies.
Kearney Bound Scholars
Kearney Bound Scholars
Kearney Bound Scholars are students who have committed to attend 体育菠菜大平台 since 9th grade. This community offers support, social engagement, and opportunities to explore campus.
- Limited to participants in the Kearney Bound Scholars program (only available at Kearney High School, Kearney Catholic High School, Lexington High School, and North Platte High School).

Health Science Explorers
Health Science Explorers
Interested in a health care career? Students will enroll in a course that explores health careers, network with and shadow health professionals, and have an upper-class health science mentor. Students accepted into the Health Science Explorers Learning Community will receive a partial room scholarship.

It was so helpful to live on the same floor as peers. I was in a class first semester with those who live in my community. I was then able to create friendships in class, find a study partner, and receive opinions on various classes that 体育菠菜大平台 offers.
